If you’ve ever asked me how to understand Scripture, you’ve likely heard my go-to advice: Start by asking questions.
Not the polished, academic kind. I’m talking about the “wait, what does that mean?” questions. The “why did Jesus say that here?” kind. The “what would this have meant to the people who first heard it?” kind.
And when you uncover the answer to just one question, you’ll almost always find yourself asking another. That’s the beauty of God’s Word—it invites us to lean in, to linger, to learn.
That’s why I’m working on a new blog series called Wonder & The Word—a space to get curious about Scripture. In each post, I’ll walk us through a passage of the Bible by asking 3–5 thoughtful questions. Together, we’ll explore surprising insights, helpful context, and timeless truths that help us know God more deeply.
Because here’s what I believe with my whole heart:
The Bible is a nerd’s paradise, and there’s always something new to discover when you’re willing to dig a little deeper.
Before I go too far down this creative rabbit trail, I’d love to hear from you.
- Would Wonder & The Word be something you’d read?
- Does a question-led Bible exploration appeal to you?
- What kinds of passages or themes would you be curious to dig into this way?
Leave a comment below and let me know—your thoughts will shape this from the very beginning. I can’t wait to wonder with you.
Until then, stay in the Word and trust in His promises.
I’m rooting for you, always.
Heather
