Three Promises to Cling to in Seasons of Change

I’ve spent the morning doing some writing and editing with my back porch door wide open. Fall has finally arrived in North Carolina and the air outside is swirling with change. For starters, it’s twenty degrees cooler than it was just a few days ago. On cue with the temperature shift, there’s a fresh crunch on […]

I’m writing to you from my kitchen, where I have been quarantined with the puppy until she is allowed to explore the rest of the house. I’m supposed to be packing for our trip to the beach this week, but instead I’m thinking about a bird. Yes, a bird. You could hear the flutter of her […]

So I have a little announcement. Two years ago, I sat on this couch watching a throng of women with cute shoes and sweet smiles walk by and I had no idea what I was doing. I had just started my blog. I had just pulled together the rough outline of a book idea. And […]

I’d love to introduce you to the newest member of our family, Nala Doodle Dixon! We think she’s pretty perfect, although I need to let you in on a little secret: a few weeks ago she wasn’t. We are a goldendoodle family. Our first goldendoodle, Dixie, was the BEST family dog and we knew we would […]

The Rescued Letters Collective is a united front of Christian ministries with a shared vision: to help women everywhere cultivate a richer faith.

what we do

Professional dry shampoo user who loves the Bible, total Disney nerd with an overdue library account. Laundry is not my spiritual gift.

Diagnosed with an incurable genetic disorder that I inherited from my mom, I know what it's like living with a story that is not easy. I've got a slew of major medical events in my chart. Oh and my doctors tell me that my life expectancy with vEDS is 48. So there’s that.

But there's also this...
