This will be a simple post because it’s almost May. Umm…..IT’S ALMOST MAY!!! I don’t know why I am always surprised at the pace of things this time of the year, but I am. I like to refer to the days between Easter and early June as the roller coaster that I can’t get off of. That’s partly because of all the end-of-the-year festivities that come with having a school-aged kid and also because spring is here (finally!) and the world around us is coming out of its winter hibernation. Beautiful, but man is it busy.
So as things ramp up, I’m here to remind us both to keep things simple. I want the mental space to enjoy this season, but in order to do that I’ve got to cut out anything that is complicated. You too? Cool, let’s do this together.
- Go ahead and pick up that frozen lasagna for dinner tonight.
- Make a list of your top five things for the upcoming week. What doesn’t make the list can wait.
- Declutter one area in your home.
- Say no to something. Anything.
- Look up.
So, how about we just keep things simple?
He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

I’ve spent the past two weeks doing some spring cleaning on my website. Why? Because I wanted to make things over here a little simpler for you. To note: I’ve added a Ready Study quick-links section so those bits would be easier to find for those of you studying Joshua with me. Find it by scrolling down to the bottom of whatever page you’re on.
