As a Christian speaker, I spend a lot of time in an airplane. I absolutely love what I do – visiting churches across the country to teach the Bible, encourage women in their faith, and point them to Jesus. But to do that, I travel almost every weekend in the spring and fall.
Last year I logged at least twenty-five flights. And that’s just on one airline.
What I’m trying to tell you is that I have opinions on travel must-haves to make life easier when you are away from home. Behind every smart woman is a carefully curated Amazon cart. Here are some of my favorite finds – travel edition!

1. Wireless Bluetooth Sleep Headband Speaker
These are game changers for when I can’t sleep at night. I actually have two of these – one for home and one for travel. When it’s bedtime in a hotel room that’s too close to the elevator, I slip these on and turn on calming music or white noise from my smartphone. Or if I’m overstimulated from a day of travel and can’t get to sleep, I’ll turn on an audio Bible and fall asleep listening to God’s Word. And for those of you who have an…ahem…snoring partner…these are a lifesaver.
2. Travel Shawl Wrap
I keep one of these in my carryon and I cannot begin to count how many times I have used it. Chilly on the airplane? No problem. Windy when we land? No problem. Raining and I don’t have a hat? No problem. It serves as a blanket when needed, but is still thin enough to wear as a normal scarf. I love love love my travel wrap.
3. 2-Piece Luggage Tag Set
I have two sets of these luggage tags and I put them on everything I fly with. With a magnetic flap closure so your personal information isn’t hanging out for everyone to see, these are cute AND functional. There are several designs to choose from so there’s a set that matches your style!
4. Mini Portable Charger
Okay, I’ve gone through a LOT of chargers. This one is the little charger that could. It’s small, lightweight, and charges super fast. One thing to note though: it’s charging ports are a USB slot and a USB-C slot. So if you need a port size other than that, this one’s not for you.
5. Huzi Infinity Neck Pillow
Is this slightly larger than your typical neck pillow? Yes. Is it a little silly getting in and out of it? Sometimes. Is it the most comfortable and versatile neck pillow I’ve ever owned? YES. This thing is like a fluffy cloud that folds any way you need it to. I especially like to wrap it like a figure-eight and prop my hands in it so they don’t flop over to the passenger seated next to me. If traditional neck pillows don’t work for you, get this one. You’ll love it.
